Promoting made simpler. A Streamlined Advertising Portfolio.
From your new dashboard, eBay sellers can leverage three unique advertising solutions: Promoted Listings, Promoted Offsite, and Promoted Stores. We’ve unified our portfolio to simplify your journey making it easier to select the right solution and launch.
We are committed to meeting the diverse needs of every seller, regardless of their individual goals and objectives. Our suite of advertising solutions is designed to be flexible and customizable, ensuring that we have an option to suit every seller’s strategy. Whether you’re focused on highlighting specific listings, your store, expanding your reach to new buyers beyond the eBay platform, we have the solutions you need.
Are you looking to promote your listings, connect with more buyers on eBay and drive sales? With Promoted Listings, you’ll be able to utilize campaign strategies that align with the unique goals of your business. Your campaign strategy will determine your level of access to ad placements, controls and how you’ll be charged:
- The priority campaign strategy provides you with priority access to ad placements with advanced controls, AI generated campaign recommendations tailored to you, and you’ll only pay for clicks on your ads. Sellers saw a 50% increase in items sold, on average, when using a priority campaign strategy compared to non-promoted items.1
- The general campaign strategy provides you with general access to ad placements with standard controls, and you’ll only pay when your item sells. Listings promoted with a general strategy have seen 30% more sales, on average, compared to non-promoted items.2
If you’re looking to drive more people to your storefront, build brand visibility through eye-catching ads and increase the visibility of your store among interested buyers, Promoted Stores is a great option for you. With effective targeting capabilities, eBay helps its sellers build brand loyalty with current and potential buyers, over the course of a Promoted Stores campaign.
For sellers looking to drive potential buyers to your listings by showing your ads to those starting their shopping journey off eBay on leading external channels, such as Google, Promoted Offsite is a great solution. Promoted Offsite uses a dynamic cost-per-click model and automatically adjusts for each listing, daily. Users set budget guidance and adjust it along the way, as desired. Sellers see a 25% increase in sales from external channels by utilizing Promoted Offsite, on average.3

What is the difference between suggested campaigns and trending campaigns?
Suggested campaigns (‘Made for you, ready to launch’) and trend based campaigns are both custom-built, ready-to-launch campaigns to promote your listings with a priority strategy. Suggested campaigns are customized based on your top-performing listings and eBay’s recommended campaign setup. Suggested campaigns are created to save you time and effort in campaign creation while helping you get great results.
Trending campaigns (‘Turn trends into sales’) are based on search terms that are matched to your listings to help you create relevant and timely promoted campaigns to help you stand out from the competition.
Which advertising types are today’s recommendations available for?
Today’s recommendations are currently available when you promote your listings with a priority campaign strategy.
Why don’t I see today’s recommendations in my dashboard?
You may not see recommendations at the top of your dashboard if:
- Your campaigns are performing well and don’t need any recommendations.
- Your campaigns are new. (Campaigns need to have a certain amount of data in order for us to provide recommendations and it may take time for recommendations to appear).
- Your campaigns all use the general campaigns strategy. Campaign recommendations are currently available only for Promoted Listings campaigns using a priority strategy.
Who is eligible to use Promoted Stores?
Promoting your store with Promoted Stores is available to Above Standard or Top Rated sellers with enough account activity on the US, UK, DE, FR, IT, and AU sites who have an active store subscription.
How does eBay determine which listings will appear in my Promoted Stores campaigns?
Your top performing listings are selected for your ads and are personalized for each buyer based on relevance to their search keywords or the specific sub-category the buyer is shopping in. The buyer’s past shopping history on eBay may influence the listings that are selected.
Why don’t I see a suggested campaign on my Advertising dashboard?
- Suggested campaigns only appear when we identify listings we think will perform well due to multiple factors, including marketplace trends and relevance.
- If you don’t see a suggested campaign on your dashboard, check back soon. At this time, suggested campaigns are only available to select sellers with multi-quantity listings. Items must have sales history and be priced over $20.
Why don’t I see any trend based campaign suggestions on my Advertising dashboard?
- Trend based campaign suggestions appear when we identify active listings aligned with current and emerging trends.
- If you don’t see any trend-based campaign suggestions, check back often as you add new listings or new trends emerge.
How can I see the performance of my general and priority campaigns?
- On the Campaigns page on the Advertising tab you can review metrics for your individual Promoted Listings campaigns side-by-side. Select the campaign name for any of the campaigns in the grid to visit the individual Campaign dashboard to see more detailed performance that charts the campaign’s performance over time.
- On the Seller Hub Reports tab, sellers can download and schedule at the account level or for multiple Promoted Listings campaigns at once.
- To review the performance of all of your Promoted Listings campaigns, you can use the filters on the Advertising dashboard to see the combined performance of all of your campaigns promoted with the priority and general strategies.
