Introducing dynamic bidding, a new way for eBay sellers to stay competitive in an ever-fluctuating market with automatic bid optimizations. This new feature removes the guesswork of having to choose a bid and eliminates the need to come back and manually adjust your keyword bids.
Keeping your ad campaign competitive can be time-consuming and manual. With dynamic bidding, you no longer need to manually manage your bids, saving you time and effort.
Here’s everything you need to know about this great new feature.
How it works
Dynamic bidding offers you an effortless way to secure priority for high visibility placements by automatically adjusting your keyword bids to match eBay’s daily suggestions.
Daily suggested bids are calculated for your keywords based on a variety of factors, such as item attributes, seasonality, past performance, and current competition for each of your listings. Suggested bids are designed to help you find an optimal balance between cost and performance, so you can stay competitive in the marketplace. Your daily budget will continue to help you stay in control of your ad spend, and you’ll only pay when a buyer clicks on your ad.
With dynamic bidding turned on, you’ll be able to stay competitive with less time spent on optimizing all the details of your campaign. If you want to keep that level of control and manually update your keyword bids, simply leave dynamic bidding turned off.
How to get started
You’ll see a new option when creating or editing a manual targeting campaign under “Set your keyword bids” prompting you to enable “Dynamic bidding.” Turn it on to have your keyword bids update daily to eBay’s suggested bid.
Sellers have seen 50% more sales, on average, when using Promoted Listings with a priority campaign strategy, compared to non-promoted items.*
To try out dynamic bidding and boost your sales, you can launch a new campaign today or add to an existing campaign using manual targeting.
